As the public opening of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra League (RSOL) Designer House quickly approaches, Glavé & Holmes Architecture is thrilled to share some of the finishing touches in the room – the artwork. This week, our featured industry partners are two fine art suppliers, Fletcher/Copenhaver Fine Art and Glavé Kocen Gallery.

Fletcher/Copenhaver Fine Art
Fletcher/Copenhaver Fine Art exhibit in quality antiques shows and work privately with collectors and designers to offer well-documented oil paintings, watercolors & drawings by significant American and European artists. They specialize in 19th through 21st Century art, all beautifully framed to museum standards. These experts are members of the Antiques Council, a professional association of antique dealers that mandates the highest ethical and professional standards. Members are selected by their peers for the quality of their merchandise, their expertise, and integrity. They have had the honor of organizing two museum exhibits to display the work of Moss Soyer (1899-1974) and of contributing essays to the book A Treasury of American Art. More recently, they curated the first American museum exhibition of the French Artist Alix Aymé (1894-1989) at the Evergreen Museum and the Library of Johns Hopkins University.

Glavé Kocen Gallery
We are keeping it in the family with the Glavé Kocen Gallery. Jennifer Glavé, our founder’s niece, and BJ Kocen established the gallery in 2007 in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. The gallery has come a long way since its creation, as it currently boasts roughly 3,200 square feet of display space and houses the work of 30 exclusive artists. They have flourished in the art community and created a strong reputation based upon their commitment to both honesty and integrity with their artists and patrons. Some of the artists they feature include: Susan Morosky, James Del Grosso, Greg Osterhaus, Steven Walker, Rodger Bechtold, Steve Hedberg, Matt Lively, Mark Chatterley, Rob Browning, Sheep Jones and Ed Trask. The Glavé Kocen Gallery offers a variety of services to their clientele which include the following: Guidance for Private Collections, Corporate Collection Consulting, Delivery & Installation, Framing and Spatial Planning for a client’s home or office space. The G&HA team will use artwork by Susan Morosky to complete the feel of the room.
